Walk through the fire and let it...
So I have made a promise to myself. I have decided in my infinite wisdom to hold a Buffy&Angel marathon. Yes, I have finally flipped. It came to me the other night that I wanted to sit down and watch them ALL back to back (practically) non-stop. Firstly, I feel I need to explain my addiction, as it is a 'recent' one.
When Buffy first aired I refused to watch it, basically because everyone I didn't like and who didn't like me were watching it, so it was a dislike based on principal rather than a dislike of the show. This continued right through 'till Angel had finished. Indeed it was not until I saw a preview for a movie called Serenity that I became hooked. For I watched Serenity, including the special features, and they told me that it was based on a series. I got that series (Firefly) from JB in G-Hole for $30 and watched it. While watching Firefly's special features I was horrified to find out that this BRILLIANT show and movie was made by the person who had made Buffy!! Instead of alleviating my fears with soothing words, my friends produced their copy of season 1 of Buffy and much to my horror I watched it that night and enjoyed it immensely. A long story short: I then acquired over a decent period of time ALL of Buffy (S1-7 & the movie) and ALL of Angel (S1-5, having acquired 4&5 just last week). I am currently part way through season 4 of Angel and haven't seen it all yet.
Now this is all very new and exciting for me, so I am anxious to watch it all again, as it was a hectic race through the whole thing. I think there are others out there who would like to re-watch it as it may have been a while since you saw it last. SO here's my plan:
0. Preliminary steps must be taken, like loosing some weight or starving oneself so the 55kg's we put on during this VideoFest don't affect us... :P
1. We set aside a week or so in the holidays.
2. We get together with enough Pizza, soft drink, chocolate, lollies, (alcohol?) popcorn etc. to last us all the movies. (Pizza may need to be replenished)
3. We get a large TV screen or a projector and set up the DVD player etc.
4. We watch Buffy NON STOP until we get to where it crosses over with Angel. Then, armed with a chronology sheet, watch the episodes sequentially.
OR
4. We watch Buffy NON STOP from the movie through to S7, then STRAIT AWAY watch Angel S1-5. (I probably would prefer this one.)
5. The trick is to have enough people there that we can stay hyper enough to watch THE WHOLE THING from beginning to end with only toilet breaks in between episodes.
6. Crash for the rest of the week that we took off, so as to recover.
Now I don't know how many other people would like to do this. You get to see Buffy and Angel, and you can say "I saw it ALL non-stop from start to finish GOD YEAH!!!" but not everyone wants this. Personally I think it would be a great time, so if you want to do it, give me a buzz! yeah.

But have fun regardless.
