2 year Any-Verse... 6 days!

Yes, in 6 days my Blog's AV will be here. Just thought I'd mention it now because I can't remember if I gave it a first AV party (also known as a B'Day party) and am to lazy to check. Also, I might forget to actually "yay!" it when the day comes OR not get a chance to due to no computer/internet. So, here is the official "Yay! for my Blog's B'Day!" Happy 2nd AV 'W:MCN!'

Now, on to more important matterz. I came to the realisation, as I often do, that in my hectic life and general misc of crazyness that I missed something. As per usual I check through the mundane things, like toilet paper, pants, keys. Then I move to other people, Brother's B'Day. Rehearsal. Vaccuming. Washing. No? What is it? Father's day? Nope, got him a DVD of dad's army. Some friends? Pretty sure I've caught up or am soon going to catch up with most/a lot of them. What then? Then it hit me, like an over-ripe melon... or some other over ripe squidgy fruit thing. Easter. I had missed easter!

You see, I noticed something odd when I recieved a chocolate egg from someone and my brain sparked. This is one of those moments in life where you get this kinda crazy spikey feeling in the back of your head that will slowly creep foreward while you rack your brains trying to decipher it's portentous message. Ultimately it said, in portentuous tones, that this was the first and only easter egg I had been given this year! I had completely missed that holiday. I'm still not sure exactly how... hmmm. Of course, I have had other chocolate eggs, for I love chocolate far too much to not have had some. I ate some of Bec's eggs, for example, but that was LONG after easter. I didn't have any eggs near or arround easter. Waaa!

PS: Look Lucifer, paragrapheses! love, v.v.

His name is David... He likes to dance a-lot...

So two things in my life. Mikado and Spamalot. I am trying to get tickets to go to this insane broadway spectacular event. Not doing so well on that front I fear. I have finally remembered Peter's name. It is David. Peter/David is our director and I have not had much luck in remembering him or his name. Fun times.

On a different, but wholly more bitter note, in exactly the same way lemon is bitter, I have found a new past time. In recent times I have developed, due mainly to the need of escapism, a strange afliction. I need to copy web comics onto my computer. Yes, those elusive comics standing there for all to see: Penny-Arcade, VideoGame Cats, Least I Could Do, Ctrl+Alt+Del, PvP, Looking For Group, 8BitTheatre and oh so many more. I have made it my sole task of copying all of these comics into my computer. This is not as simple as you would think. It is not simply clicking Save As and copying the file into a folder. No sirreee. I must copy and paste the file name in there as well, changing any ? or " or : into . and ' and - . Also placing a - in between the date and the title of the piece.

Needless to say, this is an extremely time consuming activity. But you can drown yourself in the endless tedium of click, cut, click, paste, click click, next page, repeat. So far I have downloaded ALL of PA (it started in 1998 and is still going.) and LFG and VGcats. Of course, I have so much more to do, and I must always keep revisiting the "already done" sites, as they are all still updating. It is a constant sea of endless comic strips. I like it a lot.

So if you ever need to relax and unwind, forget and not think, enter a zen garden of pure adulterated happiness... that is how its done.

I think I made Max mad... oops.

A double post! Oh shock horror.... I don't recall ever having done one of these before...
I'm sure I have, I just don't recall it.
Anywho.

I recently watched a movie. In the cinema. It was the latest (and final?) instalment of the Bourne Diplomacy, wherin Jason aka Mike Tyson, finds out his real name and then, as the newly re-named Tyson, reigns havoc mayhem and destruction on his enemies (the CIA). All up it was quite an amazingly enjoyable film, and a fitting end to a pleasant trilogy.

While waiting for this to come on the screen though (and here we are moving back in time to before the begining of this movie) I sat in the cinema. It was horrid. Personally I enjoy watching the previews at a movie. I have been known to put off seeing a movie for several hours because we missed the first 5 mins of the trailers, never mind the actual movie itself. But this movie theatre which shall remain nameless, this hell hole of a theatre, decided that it would burden us with 40mins of advertisements, in which time there was only 1 trailer that I saw. Well, there was two but only one worth mentioning because it stunned me into complete and utter gleeful joy. It was the next Umbrella Corp thriller and God Did It Look Good! Yes, it was Resident Evil:Extinction. I must say we've waiting quite a while for this one, and I think that even if it sucks in a giant corporate money-making way (kinda like Rush Hour 3 might well do) it will still be Milla being the awsome person she is, and there for it will rock. yay!

On another movie note, I went out and bought the second and third Mad Max's. I already bought the first one, but hadnt seen any of them. So I sat down with some friends and attempted to watch a bunch of DVD's of movies we hadn't seen. First cab off the rank was Singin' in the Rain. I really enjoyed this movie and would strongly suggest anyone to watch it. It is quite a funny tounge-in-cheek movie with some witty lines, crazy dancing and a fun little finale number.
Secondly, we put on the Mel Brooks classic Blazing Saddles, as Francis hadn't seen it. Good times were had by all during this crazy film. Then there was the crazy toss up between the original Producers (but we'd seen too much Mel by that stage), yes Minister (too much thinking involved), Mad Max 1-3 or Ace Ventura 2 (already seen it). We decided on a Mad Max Marathon and put the first of the trilogy on. I was blown away. Not only does Mel Gibson look nothing like himself (he was really young and kinda looked like Jake Gylenhall [spelling sucks]) but he had a better aussie accent than me! It was crazy! This aside, the movie was quite slow at starting, as these movies sometimes are, and even tho I'm sure it is a good movie, when the disk started skipping in Francis' PS2 we just turned it off. So I have not seen any of the Mad Maxes yet, but aspire to one of these days, as I own them.

PS - Next time I hope to have a basic schedule of the Buffy-thon up. No dates, just days and times of the eps etc. Will have dates set later.
