Hello avid reader of the derisive comments made hereupon, I wish to share with you a little story. In this story there is a man, let us call him Mordred, and a friend of his, whom we shall call Sven. Now Mordred and Sven went out to Crewn Casino in Melbune, parked on level 3, and went to see a movie. The movie was Prince Caspian, which Mordred was looking forward to with some interest and slight trepidation. They got the tickets and went into the cinema, but during the previews the preview stopped. The lights un-dimmed and the screen went blank. They waited. After a while the preview came back on (for that new movie where Jackie Chan and Let Li are in the same movie together for the first time ever) and they watched it... until it turned off seventeen seconds later. This happened a third time before a woman came out and told them that the projector was misbehaving and could they just hang on ten minutes. Twenty minutes later the preview came back on. And then it finished. An add started, then died.... Apparently the projector was a little bit more dead than they thought. So we... I mean they got a refund and two "we-screwed-up" tickets EACH and I figure that was a cool way to "earn" 30 dollars worth of movies...
While those two people who are not in any way representative of me and a friend of mine were at the cinemas, Mordred noticed that a new Mummy movie is coming out. You know, The Mummy (with brendan fraser but who cares cause "jonathan", the funny brother, is so much more awesome), The Mummy Returns (with jonathan), The Scorpion King (lets ignore what we said about him in the last movie and make this one... WTF it's barely connected), and now The Mummy Tomb Of The Dragon Empire (with jonathan but probably not including the mummy, which is odd, but at least Brendan is back so it really feels like part of the franchise unlike TSK which didnt). No idea what its like or what its about, but its got Jonathan, and its about the Mummy Crew, so im gonna see it in cinemas, just like the others!
Well, the story continues that M&S went to the lift and pressed level 4. Level four was too crowded to be where they had parked, so they went up a level, thinking it would get less crowded as they went up, which it did. The only problem was they couldnt find the car. Mordred careened round level 5 while Sven went to 4 to check it out, but no car. They then decided to call for security for help (Mordred feared they had taken his car for retribution of not paying the $6 entrance fee upon entering, promising to return from the ATM with the money [at an unspecified time] and pay the fee before exiting). Sven went off looking for the car while Mordred waited for security. After a while he recieved a call from Sven who noted that the car was exactly where they thought it had been parked, just a few levels down on 3. Sven called security and told them and they said it was fine. Meanwhile, Mordred walked to the lift to join Sven and passed the security Guard who had been sent out to find someone looking for their car. Because Mordred was walking purposefully towards the lift the guard didnt stop him, and it was only when he turned and saw the guard looking about for "the person" that he realised the poor man was looking for the bloke in the lift behind him. Whoops.
I do like crown.
