Quoth the Raven...
And it's the end of another day today!
Father was in cleaning mode, and so I was dragged away from my 'studying' to do some cleaning of the house, the washing (wash, hang out, bring in, sort, put away), the ironing, the toilet & bathroom & shower-room and the lawn and the dog-poo! Gah! THEN I got to cycle to McD (in 2o-something degrees celcius) to work for three hours, then cycle back! - and this is what my weekend consists of, this is what we call fun?
I have been thinking, as all good Philosophy students should, about the meaning of life and a whole bunch of stuff like that. Here is an Anonymous quote I found that should clear up all the misunderstandings we as a race have about these sorts of questions...
Mitch: I had a strange dream last night.
Chris: Was it the dream where you're on top of an Aztec pyramid with sun-god clothes on and thousands of naked women throw pickles at you?
Mitch: No.
Chris: Why am I the only one who has that dream?
If this is beyond you, just remember what DNA tells us all - The answer to Life the Universe and Everything is... 42.
I am rambling..... I was going to have an early night tonight, but now I have to go with mum to pick up my brother. He's at a party until midnight, the little inconsiderate sh*t! Meh, it just gives me an excuse to do nothing, and be on here! yay!
Ok, I'm done... Next Time: Books people should read if they want to be able to sound smart when other people ask them what books they've read...

Did you know that Bill Bailey did the voice of the whale in Hitch-hiker's guide?
"I wonder if it'll be friends with me? Hello ground!"
-Bill Bailey/torpedo-whale
yes very anonymous quote there lol hahah yes very deep and meaning full thought from a philosophy student!
u would do mitch proud~!
@Sez: Yay first! And yay for linking! I'll put u on this, when I can remember how... CJ, help!
@Elizabeth: Yes I do, and so do everyone else that has been bombarded by me with this... Did you know that his name is in one of the Little Brittain skits? In one of the one's with the short theme-tune singing guy, he sings a theme-tune for a show "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" which has BB in it, and so his name is mentioned! And Stephen Fry (Author of Paperweight and Liar Liar, and Melchet from BlackAdder) is the Book!
@CJ: Sorry u were not in that list of comments, mum came in and pressed it... or something like that. I don't think Mitch would like that joke somehow....
Me and Gassin swapped all the books in the chapel for the cushions on the seats, with the cushions in the back of the pews and the hymn books on the seats. Fun! And unless I mentioned FISH or BOVINE Mitch would object, lol!
ahhh the scarecrow series. nice, what's ur fav? Temple is mine.
haha i know u didnt forget me or nething lol ill show u how to add on the list now while were in the same room lol... so glad im not a book person... yes no FISH... damn existentialism i mean yay for existentialism...
I think you can't go wrong with Lord of the Rings. It's over a thousand pages long, and so must be good literature according to the ancient laws of people who can't be bothered to watch or read things because they are too long and so thereby proclaim them to be good to avoid criticism...that could have been phrased better, but my mind's running purely on maths at the moment, and so...can't think of a word to conclude...so I think I'll settle for:
Grapefruit.
not pineapples? im shocked elizabeth completely shocked!
Fruitbat eats Grapefruit. Nazgul eats Fruitbat. Nazg means Ring. ul means Wraith. Therefore Nazgul = Ringwraith!
I've used up all my pinapples for the time-being...need to replenish stocks.
I reckon Ringwraiths look like Dementors.

i deleted my last comment coz it was really bitchy... sorry... neways im bored but yeah good luck for this afternoon MT
yeah i agree. and i didnt think that dementors are meant to fly?!?! can't believe they didnt put the tom bombadil bit in tho!!! anyway. i will stop bitching about movie adaptations of favourite books.
Yeah! And they cut out Glorfindel!!! and they made Frodo get babysat by Arwen, when in fact he rode his own way to Rivendell!!! Oh the indignity!!!
considering the crappyness of the last attempt of making LOTR into movies, I reckon he did well! The dementors sucked, i thought they could have been so much better, but they didn't! And the next movie the characters look nothing like I imagined!
...freaks...
Oh no doubt he did a good job, but all the same, it was not necessary to the plot for Arwen to take him...or maybe it was supposed to be an character introductory thing...
Harry Potter himself looks weird in the poster for Goblet of Fire...and Cerdic and Cho look...not like they should...oh well.
Thanks Cj :)
well done u hit the 20 mark doing well morgs ur the flava of the month
Well, it was easier to use Arwen than to put in some random character that has nothing to do with anything later... Tolkien's notes say that at this time he still hadn't decided who was going to be in the Nine companions, and Glorfindel may have become one, but didn't... And Arwen doesn't really have that much to do in the books, so he gave her more to do.
Thanks CeeJ, I'm surprised that I've managed to reach such a high number so quickly!
Oh, and have you seen Mad-Eye-Moody? He looks nothing like he should! Grrrrrrr for the changing of directors!
thats quiet alright ur doin well for a newbie
Yeah, but they didn't really need anyone at all! And what about Tom Bombadil?
Agh! You're beating me with the comments. Thanks for boosting my numbers CJ :)yay!
Tom Bombadil was one of those characters that didn't really add much to the general story-line, he slowed down the plot, and If you cut him out it doesn't make much of a difference. (from a director/screen writer's perspective)
I thought he was great, if a little odd (but odd is good) but he's not necessary, and so was cut out. Although, I am glad the mouth of Sauron is in the extended edition!
Yeah, he was expendable from a time perspective. I loved Lord of the Rings, and can't even begin to imagine how he put it all together. The only thing that I really didn't like was how they didn't really tie up all the loose ends with Saruman, though that may just be because they didn't include the scouring of the Shire (understandable, as that would be a whole movie withing itself almost) but for all intents and purposes, he's still in that tower...oh well.
have you seen the extended edition? he doesn't scour the shire, but that's kinda an anticlimax of the film after the DEFEAT OF SAURON, but he does die, in between the talking and the finding of the palantir in the water, he is stabbed in the back by wormtounge (like in the book) then worm is shot with an arrow (like in the book) and Saruman falls off the tower and the camera follows him tumbling down until he hits the spikey wheel!
Nah, I haven't. Well, it's a consolation that they filmed it anyway.
Anticlimax? I guess...though it would be more of an anticlimax if they all went shoe shopping or something after :) All that hiking can really wear the hobbit feet down...eww...
